Anna Barley

Anna Barley is an AbME Facilitator.

Introducing Anna Barley with Strategies North; one of your AbME facilitators and part of the Northeast Aboriginal Business Centre team. Anna grew up in northern BC and has extensive experience working with non-profits and First Nations communities in the areas of programming, economic development and administration. Anna has an Accounting and Finance Diploma Degree, a Fine Arts Diploma, and the Community Relationships and Project Management Certificates.

She left the north for a time to further her education with a well-rounded combination of fine arts, accounting and finance, but has since planted her roots in Fort St. John with her husband and three busy children.

Her family is very active in the community and enjoys the arts, community stewardship and local sports. Anna is an avid reader, and loves gardening and event planning.

She is bringing her passion and experience in the economic development field to her work with her own consulting practice, Strategies North, which specializes in bringing business opportunities, training and programs to First Nations communities, businesses and emerging entrepreneurs.

Anna is a certified trainer for AbME – Aboriginals Mastering Entrepreneurship and the Incorporating a Business Training; as well as a facilitator and advisor with the Northeast Aboriginal Business Centre.

She is very proud to be a Northerner and invigorated by all the new opportunities on the horizon for Northern BC and is looking forward to working with local emerging entrepreneurs to build on their ideas and business goals.
